For most of my life, I have trimmed my hair to avoid high costs of hairstylists. Because I am very artistic and a perfectionist, I started trimming and styling my husband’s hair during the pandemic when all the barbers were closed due to the government mandates. My husband says that I do a better job than the barbers, so this now has become my job. I have always used high quality shears for myself, so when I saw these online, I had to try them. They are definitely high quality. I use the cutting shears first to shorten and style his hair and the thinning shears to blend and add texture. Both open and close smoothly and are very precise with cutting. They are very sharp. I barely nicked my finger and drew some blood, so be careful. I like the extended, offset crane handle. The finger holes are adequate, and fine for me, but for large hands they may be too small. This set also comes with a razor which I don’t use (yet). My husband doesn’t trust me with a razor in my hands…lol. There is a small cloth that is included in the leather pouch, but I find it too small to really suit my needs. The leather pouch is quite nice because it locks the tools in place. The only drawback is that the snaps are rather hard to push closed. This set might be pricey for some people, but it is good quality and should last.

These are some nice scissors. They’re strong and well made. I’m surprised at how smoothly they cut. I was able to give myself a great haircut. The sheers are just as easy to use. The leather case is nice. It’s sleek and has an area to hold the scissors and sheers securely. I couldn’t ask for a better set.

The Japanese have a dedication to precision that is awe inspiring. Their pursuit to excellence in everything they do is remarkable to say the least. I am always in awe of their products. I don’t mean electronics, but just about everything else. Their blades for example, from swords to kitchen cutlery to scissors. They have zero tolerance for anything but their best effort. The honor is baked into their labor. This scissor set is another great example of the Japanese at their best. These cut through hair so easily and quietly. There is almost no resistance when using them. It is stunning. I think these are truely amazing. My only complaint is not a fault of their workmanship or their quality, it is just that my fingers are a little too fat to use these. So I gave them to my sister who is a hair dresser. She is so happy with them. She said she would never have spent more than 50$ on scissors, but after using these she said she would buy them again and again.Forgive me for calling them scissors and not shears

These shears seem good so far and I have not had any issues. They are well made with stainless steel and feel super soft and easy to use. I still have to see what how they will hold up over time but so far, everything is good.
